The LIDC will be holding a webinar on 16 September 2026 at 13:00 – 14.00 pm (CET) / 12-1pm (UK).
This webinar will provide participants with an overview of cross-border patent enforcement. The discussion will examine how courts address patent disputes involving foreign manufacturers, international supply chains, exports, imports, and technologies implemented across multiple jurisdictions. The speakers will explore jurisdictional issues, contributory infringement, preliminary injunctions, and landmark cases from the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, automotive, and digital services sectors, highlighting how patent rights can be enforced when activities taking place abroad have effects in another jurisdiction. The webinar will also address the balance between effective cross-border enforcement, territoriality principles, and respect for national sovereignty.
